Leonardo Urrutia

Economist

Welcome!

I am Leonardo Urrutia, a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Leipzig University, specializing in macroeconomics, business cycle analysis, and financial stability.
My research examines how macro-financial interactions shape economic fluctuations, focusing in particular on downside risks to growth and the stability of the financial system.

My recent projects span:

  • DSGE and structural VAR modelling with endogenous volatility
  • integration of climate-related risks into macro-financial frameworks
  • solving DSGE models with neural networks.
